BTC Nordic's history:
In 1995, the BASF group created a Nordic subsidiary located in Denmark. BASIS Kemi A/S was put in charge of the distribution of a wide range of BASF's chemical portfolio in small and medium quantities throughout the Nordic countries.
In 2003, BASF created a European distribution network with focus on speciality chemicals by regrouping the European distribution companies under the name BTC Speciality Chemical Distribution. Among these were e.g. BASIS Kemi (today BTC Speciality Chemical Distribution A/S), BASCOMs, BASF Tensid Chemie, BASF Trading Centres. A new organisation with a new focus, new services and new synergy effects was born!
