BTC Speciality Chemical Distribution sells and markets the full range of BASF flocculants as well as selected complementary 3rd party flocculants.


Application fields for flocculants

BTC supplies high-quality products for use in all important water treatment processes, from purification through process water treatment and effluent treatment. Depending on the problem to be solved, they can be used alone or as ingredients for speciality formulations. The most common applications for flocculants in industrial and municipal water treatment plants, effluent treatment plants and sewage treatment plants are: clarifying water, thickening suspensions, dewatering sludge.

Flocculants for water treatment processes
  • Anionic flocculants: Sedipur® A types
    Anionic substituted polyacrylamides with molar masses ranging from low to very high.
  • Nonionic flocculants: Sedipur® N types
    Nonionic polyacrylamides
  • Cationic flocculants: Sedipur® C types
    Cationic, substituted polyacrylamides, polyethyleneimines, polyamines and poly DADMAC with molecular masses ranging from very low to very high.

Physical forms

Sedipur® AF, NF and CF types are supplied in form of fine, free-flowing, low-dusting, white powders. Most of the Sedipur® AL, NL and CL types are supplied in the form of milky white emulsions, but some are supplied as aqueous solutions.
