BTC Speciality Chemical Distribution supplies BASF’s organic and inorganic pigments and organic mono-pigment preparations specially developed for the mass colouration of plastics by all the usual processing techniques - injection moulding, extrusion, calendaring, etc. They cover a broad spectrum of requirements - heat stability, dispersibility, light and weather fastness, and so on - and can be dispersed into virtually all plastics.
Effects for innovative colour and product design: Our organic pigments, are an ideal source of effects for innovative colour and product design.
The plastic-soluble Lumogen® fluorescent dyes complete our innovative range of colorants. Our specialists will be happy to advice on all matters relating to the use of our products in plastics.
Dyes
For fluorescence collectors: Lumogen® F Dyes Highly purified fluorescent dyes with excellent heat and light stability in amorphous resins for fluorescence collectors.
Excellent light fastness and high heat stability: Thermoplast® Dyes High Performance dyestuffs created specifically for use in plastics. Their excellent light fastness and high heat stability make them suitable in many resins.
Pigments
Extremely good fastness and weather abilities: Heliogen® Pigments Phthalocyanine blue and green pigments with extremely good fastness and weather ability properties, excellent lot to lot consistency and compatibility with most resins. Some of these pigments are also very easy to disperse, which makes them outstanding in fibre applications.
Azo colour lakes: Lithol® Azo colour lakes with medium to good fastness properties. One pigment has a significantly higher standard of fastness - indicated by the word "Fast" before the colour designation in the name.
High performance organic pigments with high colour: Paliogen® Pigments High performance organic pigments with high colour strength and shades from yellowish red to violet. They exhibit outstanding fastness and weather ability properties. Excellent performer in engineering resins in very deep and bright shades.
High performance organic yellow pigments: Paliotol® Paliotol is our trademark for a series of high performance organic yellow pigments from greenish to reddish shades. They are tailored to the processing and applications of your plastics. Two of them have outstanding heat stability in engineering resins.
Chrome yellow and molybdate orange pigments: Sicomin® Pigments Lead chromate/lead sulphate mixed crystals (yellow) and lead chromate/lead molybdate/lead sulphate mixed crystals (red) with good to outstanding fastness properties. Some of the pigments are fast to sulphur dio.
Heat stability, fastness to light & weathering: Sicopal® Pigments Inorganic pigments with spinal structure based on various metal oxides. All Sicopal pigments have excellent heat stabilities and outstanding fastness to light and weathering.
Fastness to light, weathering, chemicals and heat: Sicotan® Pigments Inorganic mixed-phase yellow and brown pigments. They have excellent fastness to light, weathering, chemicals and heat, even in extreme reductions. Sicotans are suitable for use in blends with organic pigments for brilliant shades with high opacity. Their high heat stability makes them suitable in most resins. Our Chrome- and Nickel-Titanium yellows are available in low-dust, free-flowing forms.
Sicotrans® Pigments Transparent iron oxide pigments, extremely finely divided.
Preparations
Excellent lot to lot consistency: Eupolen® Preparations Highly concentrated mono-pigment preparations of organic pigments in polyethylene used in producing masterbatch. Eupolen show a very high degree of dispersion and thus offer an excellent lot to lot consistency:
Eupolen® PA: Concentrated organic/inorganic monopigment dispersed in polyamide in granular form for use in the manufacture of masterbatches; suitable for injection moulding applications and for the production of film, fibres and yarn.
Eupolen® PE: Highly concentrated monopigment dispersed in a polyolefin for use in the manufacture of masterbatches. Supplied in the form of low-dusting powder and dust-free granules.
Eupolen® PP: Concentrated organic/inorganic monopigment dispersed in polypropylene in granular form for use in the manufacture of masterbatches; suitable for injection moulding applications and for the production of film, fibres and yarn.
For mass colouration of PVC: Euvinyl® C Preparations Mono-pigment concentrates for mass colouration of PVC. The powder preparations contain pigments in optimum fine distribution.
For the colouration of rubber mixes and solutions: Oppasin® Preparations Mono-pigment concentrates of organic pigments for the colouration of rubber mixes and solutions. After mastisizing of the rubber, the preparations can be added together with fillers and vulcanization additives. They yield vivid shades.
