Pigment preparations > colouration of wood-based panels

BTC Europe supplies BASF’s pigment preparations developed for the wood-based panel industry. Typical application areas covered are

  • Mass colouration of fiber and particle boards like MDF (medium density fiber) for design purpose.  The colorant is in general added to the wood fiber/ glue mass during panel production.
  • Identification of the treatment of special wood fiber board. BTC offers you preparations for labelling the different qualities for example for use in moist atmosphere applications, for conductible applications and to mark fire resistant boards.
  • Economic colouration of decorative paper for wood panels

Properties and applications

Dispers® preparations are waterborne liquid preparations based on organic and inorganic pigments, well stabilized with an optimized blend. They are a non-hazardous solution for dyeing high quality fiber boards (MDF/ HDF) and chipboards for design and identification purpose. BTC offers a dedicated colour range of Dispers® preparations in different colour shades specifically designed for your individual need. They are easy to apply and meet the technical requirements of the wood panel industry.

 

The Luconyl® and Luconyl® NG grades cover a wide range of colour space and chemistry types. They enhance the colourant selection for the colouration of wood panels and composites. They can be applied in an easy to use liquid form which is easy to pump and dose, quality controlled and optimized for your needs.

Applications

BTC‘s pigment preparations are used for mass colouration, for identification of HDF and particle boards and as colourants for design-MDF, laminates and decorative papers.
