Many of GLYSANTIN® traditional coolant products are already successfully used in electric vehicles. GLYSANTIN® ECO BMB is a silicate-free premium coolant from the GLYSANTIN® series. This coolant uses the so-called OAT technology. Organic salts are responsible for protecting against radiator corrosion.
The question of proper cooling already arose during the mid-twenties. BASF Chemist Dr. Otto Jordan was tasked with developing an antifreeze that would protect the already quite complex cooling systems in use. The original patent for GLYSANTIN®, the world’s very first antifreeze, was granted in 1929 and marks the birthdate of the brand. During the following decades GLYSANTIN® has successfully enabled and accompanied advancement in engine and coolant technologies and is committed to continue shaping the future.
The brake system is one of the most important safety features of a vehicle and therefore needs to meet the very high standards required by the automotive manufacturers, the automotive industry and automotive safety legislation. Therefore brake fluids must meet stringent specifications and are often also officially approved by the automobile manufacturers.
Our finished lubricants ensure first-class results in terms of gear wear, seal life, fluid oxidation and oil life. The synthetic lubricants also provide sustainability benefits, for example, by helping to improve energy efficiency which reduces fuel consumption and decreases CO2 emissions.
