Omega-6 fatty acids - oily grades > for dogs and fattening pigs

Omega-6 fatty acids influence the fat metabolism in mono-gastric animals. In fattening pigs, the main effects described in the scientific literature are an increase in lean meat percentage of the carcass and a relative increase of the percentage of intra-muscular fat in the muscles. It is well known that an increasing percentage of intra-muscular fat positively influences the taste of meat. In the petfood market, omega-6 fatty acids are used for dogs.
