GLYSANTIN® - Premium Radiator Protection
BASF patented Glysantin® for the first time in 1929, and since then the cooling lubricants from Ludwigshafen have enjoyed great popularity among motorists. The proprietary products have the most OEM approvals from the major engine manufacturers. BASF works with the world's leading automotive suppliers to ensure that the Glysantine range® always meets the latest requirements. BASF's high-performance engine coolants are suitable for use in all motor vehicles. As early as the mid-1920s, questions were raised about a suitable coolant. BASF chemist Dr. Otto Jordan has the task of developing an antifreeze. In 1929, the original patent was granted and the starting signal was given for the world's first antifreeze, the patent document being the birth certificate for the Glysantin® brand. In the following decades, Glysantin has repeatedly and successfully adapted to the constantly changing market needs and increased technical® requirements. Today, Glysantin® is a premium product on the engine coolant market. The packaging has also changed from the simple tin can of the early years to the unmistakable shape on the modern plastic bottle with the color-coded closure.
