Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)
Endulac® as complementary feed for dairy cows
Endulac® is a complementary feed for dairy cows in the early lactation phase. Endulac® can help to relieve the energy balance of the cow during early lactation by a temporary and controlled reduction of the milk fat content. Endulac® contains conjugated linoleic acid (conjugated linoleic acid = CLA). The positive effects of CLA are
- sustainably higher milk yield,
- lower fat mobilization,
- improved fertility,
- improved service life and lifetime.
Characteristics of Endulac®
Endulac® is a complementary feed for dairy cows and contains rumen-protected fat and conjugated linoleic acid (conjugated linoleic acid = CLA). CLA is a special form of polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids. Conjugated linoleic acid is also produced naturally in the rumen of dairy cows from fresh grass through the activities of rumen flora. The conjugated linoleic acid in Endulac® is based on the vegetable oils of sunflower and thistles.
Endulac® is formulated as a rumen-protected powder formulation of omega-6 fatty acids (CLA).
Use of Endulac® as complementary feed for dairy cows
The Endulac® CLA product is sold directly to milk producers. For dosing, we recommend a dose of 70 g Endulac® CLA per cow per day, starting on the 20th day before calving until 60-100 days after calving. This flexibility allows adaptation to the individual feeding schedule of a herd.
